Day 1- Overnight at Royal Decameron Resort -
A professional guide will meet you at Panama’s Tocumen International Airport and transfer everyone to the Royal Decameron Resort, an “all-inclusive” resort located on the Pacific Coast about 90 minutes north of Panama City. Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing after check in. That evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and a brief orientation. The rest of the evening is free.
Day 2- Overnight at the Royal Decameron Resort -
Enjoy breakfast and then the golfers play the Fazio designed Coronado Golf Course. This championship course is the current home of the Panama Open sponsored, by Panasonic. This tournament features South and Central America’s finest players as well as many of the top players on the Nike and Canadian tours. In fact you may have watched this event as it was televised on the golf channel. Non-golfers will enjoy many activities and amenities available at the Royal Decameron Resort, which include: tennis, ocean kayaks, marine bicycles, snorkeling, windsurfing and sailing; scuba diving mini course; aerobics and dance classes. The afternoon and evening are free, relax and enjoy your stay. All meals and national drinks at the resort are included and dining options offer a wide variety as the resort has 8 restaurants to choose from.
Day 3- Overnight at the Royal Decameron Resort -
Enjoy breakfast and then guests have a choice of activities for an additional fee; we will offer a Partial Panama Canal Transit that includes sightseeing of former Canal Zone Housing, Stevens Circle, shopping at YMCA shops. Or golfers have the option of skipping the tour and playing golf for an additional fee or you can go on a fishing excursion, if these options are not of interest you are more than welcome to relax at the resort. All meals and national drinks at the resort are included.
Day 4- Overnight at the Royal Decameron Resort -
Enjoy breakfast and golfers play a second round at Coronado Golf Course. Non – golfers travel into the Panamanian countryside to visit El Valle, a small town that has developed a prosperous industry for flowers and ornamental plants. We leave the coast and travel up into the mountains where you’ll experience cool spring-like air that is very refreshing. The trip includes visits to the El Chorro Macho Waterfall – located on the site of an extinct volcano, the Nispere Zoo and we’ll also do a little shopping. We return back to the resort in the early afternoon. All meals and national drinks at the resort are included.
Day 5- Over night at Country Inn & Suites Panama Canal Resort Hotel -
We have breakfast then we’ll check out and travel to the city of Colón we make a stop at the YMCA crafts market for souvenir shopping. Once in Colón we discover the Fort San Lorenzo, at the mouth of the Chagres River, dating from the 16th century and one of the colonial era’s most important fortifications (alternative stop Portobello). We visit the Gatún Locks, the Canal’s biggest, where we become familiarized with Canal operations. Panoramic tour of the city of Colón and the Free Trade Zone, before returning to Panama City by the Panama Express train, the world’s first inter-oceanic railway. Once we arrive in Panama City we check into the Country Inn & Suites in Panama City. Dinner at hotel restaurant.
Day 6- Over night at Country Inn & Suites Panama Canal Resort -
Begin with a hearty breakfast in the hotel restaurant and then we will spend the day visiting the Embera Indigenous Community and Chagres National Park. We will experience the history and culture of the indigenous culture, through narrative, traditional dance and craftsmanship – like woven baskets out of the natural fibers of the chunga, maquenque and naguala palm trees, as well as figures carved in cocobolo wood and tagua (better known as vegetable ivory). Dinner is at a local nearby restaurant.
Day 7- Over night at Country Inn & Suites Panama Canal Resort -
Start the day with breakfast and then the golfers are off to Horoko Golf Course. This course was built by the United States Army and is a rolling layout with many beautiful flowers and panoramic views of Downtown Panama City. Then in the afternoon we will take a city tour with visits to the colonial city - or Casco Antiguo, the ruins of Panamá La Vieja and we’ll take a panoramic tour of the Amador causeway. Dinner will be at a local restaurant.
Day 8- Overnight at Country Inn & Suites Panama Canal Resort -
Enjoy breakfast then the golfers transfer to play Summit Golf Course. The non-golfers enjoy a day trip to Taboga Island. This evening we will have a special dinner and show at Las Tinajas Restaurant.
Day 9- Enjoy breakfast and then pack up and check out. We travel back to the USA.
