Golf and Adventure Travel Expeditions

Event Details

The SFGA has never had an event in the Pacific Northwest and this trip will change that! One of our goals is to visit popular destinations and try to offer great value in doing so. With this in mind we have organized what could be one of our best events, the Northwest Golf Adventure. Our trip begins and ends in Spokane, Washington which is about 45 minutes from Coeur d’Alene in Northern Idaho. You guessed it we’re staying at Coeur d’Alene Resort. This is the resort that boasts the five star, gold medal golf course featuring the world’s only floating, moveable golf green. The Coeur d’Alene Resort is located on the shore of beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene, in the heart of the quaint downtown district offering unique shopping, dining & entertainment.

Coeur d’Alene is the center piece of this terrific trip, but our trip also includes golf on two other outstanding courses, Palouse Ridge and Circling Raven. We’ll stay in the Historic Davenport Hotel. Drive along the Palouse Scenic Byway and explore a region of our great country thats a patchwork quilt of rolling terrain, rich farmlands & friendly rural communities.  The majestic landscape is speckled with buttes and rivers and lakes offering spectacular panoramic vistas and fantastic wildlife viewing.

Accommodations

The Davenport Hotel

opened in 1914 as a destination in its own right. It was to be a place where guests could experience a singular combination of world-class service, palatial splendor, and inviting warmth. Yet just beyond its doors was all the entertainment, commerce, and natural beauty that downtown Spokane had to offer.   That tradition has continued throughout the Davenport's long and impressive history — right up to the present day. The facilities and the guest rooms have since been modernized with 21st-century amenities like wireless Internet access, of course, but they retain all the character and elegance of the days when Louis Davenport oversaw the hotel. This seamless blend of historic luxury and contemporary comfort is why the Davenport Hotel is a AAA four-diamond establishment and is rated 4½ stars on both Expedia and TripAdvisor.

The Davenport’s Deluxe Rooms are larger than their standard counterparts, deluxe rooms feature either a king-size bed or two luxurious queen-size beds as well as a European-style soaking tub (tubs are limited to certain rooms, please check for availability). The beds are custom-made and feature fine Frette linens. Beautiful views of downtown Spokane round out your stay. Amenities include: Oversized marble shower and luxurious soaking tub, 32" high-definition flat-screen LCD TV with in-room movies and music, Executive desk, Views of downtown Spokane, 430 to 512 square feet of space, 24-hour access to fitness centers, Luxurious bath and personal care products from L'Occitane and Complimentary WiFi.
